A Live Journey

Following the release of Kvitravn, we wanted to bring the spirit of these songs to life in a way that reflected their true essence. Kvitravn – First Flight of the White Raven is a live recording that captures the dynamic energy, emotions, and immersive soundscapes that define our performances.

This album was born from our 2021 virtual live performance, created as a way to connect with our audience when traditional concerts were not possible. The response was overwhelming, and we felt compelled to release this recording as a standalone experience—one that allows listeners to feel the presence and power of our music in a concert setting.

Like the original Kvitravn, this live album delves into themes of animism, nature spirits, and ancestral wisdom, but with an added sense of immediacy and spontaneity. The interplay between instruments, voices, and the surrounding atmosphere creates a unique sonic landscape that stands apart from the studio versions.

Traditional instruments such as the taglharpa, kraviklyra, and flutes take on new life in the live environment, and the layered harmonies of our vocals resonate with renewed intensity.
